hidden enemies to full health

When I began this, it was a part of my personal goals for myself- for health of mind, body, spirit.
I want to talk about the mind and body.
When I have a lot of fat on my body, you can see it- it is highly visible.
What is not visible is the mind.
You can lose a lot of weight and work out and be pretty unhealthy in your mind (thoughts/emotions).
People will say you look hot or beautiful or strong... but if you have ignored the condition of your thoughts or emotions, people will often soon get it- perceive it and be turned off. I am not saying you have to happy or good all the time.
I have seen a lot of posts about hating one's self, referring to one's self in derogatory terms because the body has too much fat.
And some people cling to the notion that hating themselves motivated them to change.
I never hear someone spitting out words of hate to themselves or anything and think, "wow, what a healthy mind! I hope to one day have a clean, healthy and strong mind like that!"
no
But when people love themselves despite shortcomings and find the courage to put their love into action- those people! WOW! I am totally impressed with their strength of mind.
It is easy to backslide into hating... like picking up a box of donuts- easy.
Health of the mind is about practicing virtues: love, patience, courage, compassion, listening... things like that.

My message to those who practice hate: you are half-stepping it. Having a healthy body is just one thing. You can be more than a one trick pony... Tap your courage and self discipline and try very hard to recover your full health- not just externals...
love is strength.
it isn't denial or mollycoddling.
love is health
it isn't indulgence or enabling

I do 3 sets of 10 repetitions of love each day. It isn't easy, but I am getting stronger, and it shows... it is attractive.

I wish you the best and
I love you.

amen, sister. changing my behavior out of LOVE for myself is the only thing that works.
the years of trying to use self-hate and negativity to punish myself into changing were always fruitless.

    be in the NOW.

For me, mantras are specifically designed for the user. In my practice, I 'keep silence' about the specifics of this work, because talking about it in specific tends to disperse the energy and focus.

I hunted down the root cause of my inability to maintain discipline for my health goals. I stalked them, identified them and trapped them. I learned the ways of my weaknesses and unraveled them, buried them, scattered them on the wind, sent them down stream. And drawing new energy in, specifically designed to fortify my fitness goals... I began building (in the very cells of my body) a new framework (a new design, message, coding, wavelength) to replace that which no longer served me.

So I created a mantra (a saying), a sigil (a symbol or mandala) and a practice (using the heart and breath and images in my mind) to fortify my work.

It could be as simple as:
    Love is in my body
    love is strength
    I am strong.

    I wish you the best.
    much love
