Hello fellow photographers! And anyone who enjoys taking pictures!

What are some of your secret weapons for great pictures?

Here are some of mine if anyone is interested.

1. Think about body types of the people that you will be shooting... while it is tempting to get super artistic with the angles... shooting from below is not so flattering for us larger people, but nor should every single picture be shot from above either. Try to get them as natural looking as possible but keep body types in mind.

2. Shoulders back and show the rack tends to make everyone look better in pictures... just not toooo far back or it looks like you are shooting for playboy.

3. If at all possible, shoot people doing something that they LOVE to do, believe me they will be more relaxed, have more fun and you will get a better picture.

4. Try to really make them smile or laugh... even if they have a goofy smile it will still look better than the fake smiles that people put on to get their pictures taken... It will look better because it will look like how they look like when they are happy, goofy grins and all.

5. Don't be afraid of props... again they tend to help people loosten up and relax and have fun, not to mention they can help make some awesome pictures... sidewalk chalk, bubbles, balloons and sparklers are my personal favorites.

What are your tips for great pics?

haha well... you could... but you'd need an awesome zoom to get a clear view of the attributes I'm sure you are shooting for :)
