EDIT: Sorry for double posting, realized this may be better for the food and nutrition section so i moved it there

I need some help spicing up my lunch routine (and dinner too). I see a lot of great recipes on here, problem is I don’t like a lot of the stuff that people tout as the best food they’ve ever had. This list includes, but is not entirely limited to: avocado, cottage cheese, yogurt (greek or otherwise), hummus, tomato, beans, olives…..I’m sure I could go on, but ill leave it at that for now.

Any good suggestions on quick and yummy meals that don’t include these things? I wish I did like all this as I know it would make things easier, but I just cant get into them!

I'm like you-I'm such a picky eater! It's already semi-difficult to eat healthy, but when you're a selective eater, it's so much worse!

My lunches tend to be fairly simple. A lot of times I'll have a Weight Watchers Mini Cheeseburger (200 calories and tastes GREAT!) and a bag of Snyder's 100 calorie pretzels. Sometimes I'll have the pretzels with a sandwich-Weight Watchers 100% Whole Wheat bread (80 calories for 2 slices!) and maybe cheese (Sargento Reduced Fat Mild Cheddar-80 calories), sometimes PB (I love the Planter's Natural-190 calories for 2 tbsp, but I can't eat that much PB on my sandwich!) and J (most regular jellies like Smuckers are 50 calories for 1 tbsp).

Then again there's the ever present leftovers form dinner the night before :) I eat lots of homemade tacos-I make my own seasoning mix which helps A LOT! I also love bbq chicken-I use Jack Daniels Honey BBQ-it only has 45 calories in 2 tbsp. I'll only eat corn and green beans as far as veggies go (I like mashed potatoes, but I can't trust myself with them yet!), so sides can be difficult for me...Birdseye steamfresh white & yellow corn is 80 cal for 2/3 cup, and Green Giant Kitchen Cut green beans are only 80 for 1/2 cup!

I hope that helps some! Feel free to look at my food journal for ideas if you need to!

My husband is really picky when it comes to vegetables. I keep a bag of frozen mixed veggies in the freezer and he'll eat those because he will eat the corn and carrots. I throw a cup into many of the casseroles I make so he has to eat them. haha
