Calculate VO2 without running?

Hi there! My HRM asks for VO2. I have an injury and unable to run.....at all! I can do other exercises, but not running. I can do elliptical, bike, cardio, etc but absolutely no running. Before anyone asks - I have not been to the doctor, as I would have to pay out of pocket for an MRI so I can't say for sure what it is. I *think* it is a pelvic stress fracture. It happened last December, thought I was healed after 6 months and then 8 minutes into a slow jog last month it tore/snapped again. Moving on....

So anyway, I want my HRM to be as accurate as possible So is there a way to calculate VO2 without running? I've searched and can only find running formulas. If not, how would I begin to guess? I'm in pretty good shape (really good cardio and endurance) but am still about 25 pounds overweight. I work out 5 times per week doing a mix of turbo jam, kickboxing, elliptical and band/strength.

Thanks in advance!

My Health Club in Oakland offers VO2 testing for $100 and they use a spinning cycle, but you also have to buy your own face mask as they have you breath into a tube connected to a notebook computer to calculate the V02 based on the gas mixture of what your exhaling. They push you pretty hard on the spinning cycle to get a full reading but it only takes about 10 minutes or so.

Here's a link to a site with several V02 Max calculators - I can't vouch for their accuracy though.....
