There is no set definition of "clean" in regards to eating

I would say foods that are not clean are:
1: High in Fat/Saturated Fat/Sodium/Cholestoral and Sugar.
I consider foods that are clean are:
1:Veggies, Fruits, nuts
2: High in Fiber and Protein
3: Low in carbs
But hey...Im an amateur at this dieting thing so I may be wrong.0 -
It is really a malleable term. Some say that only organic foods are "clean". Others say that when it comes to meat, only grass-fed free-range meat is "clean," while to others, only wild-caught fish are "clean". Think of "clean" as "healthy". There are many foods with health benefits, but what you eat is up to you. As for popcorn and peanut butter, both can be good and "clean" IMO if they are made properly--popcorn popped at home on the stove with a little butter or olive oil as opposed to processed in a plastic bag, peanut butter ground up at the grocery store rather than in a jar, etc.
You have to find what you like and what works for your body.0 -
