Ugh seriously! My bathroom scale is a digital and its off my 2.44lbs. I weighed a 24 case of water and it was off by 2.44lbs. Well than I used my friends scale and it said I was 4lbs heavier than my scale said...then I used the Wii fit scale and it said I was heavier than my friends scale. Im going to be so upset if I find out im not losing any weight! I dont know what to do! I take my measurements as well. I weigh naked and early in the morning, wtf am i doing wrong? I seriously was 299 on July 2nd and now my scale says Im 294.5.... what should I believe? what should i do? Im not trying to sound like a baby or anything im just fed up with all these numbers! Its like math class all over again and Lord know I been outta school for years! Any advice?

A lot of scales do suck, I am using a digital one right now.
I think the most important thing is that it is very close (if you don't mind that), and that it is CONSISTENT. Meaning, whatever number you start out at, it will reflect however many pounds you actually lost even if it is slightly off. I don't even think about my scale being off...because if it is it is pretty darn close.
Stick with the same scale, and as you have been doing, weigh at the same time of day with the same amount of clothes on for consistency. Props for remembering to measure too... that is a good thing to check also. If you want to be absolutely sure a scale is perfect, look up reviews on amazon.com for the most accurate scale.0 -
Pick a scale, any scale, and always use just that scale.
The total weight is not as important as seeing a difference from week to week.
If you lose 5 lbs on one scale it means you would lose the same 5 lbs on any scale.0 -
Who cares?
It's just for tracking; pick a scale and track your progress.
You're not weighing in for a title fight.0 -
I have been told that the Tanita brand is the one to get...all others will make you :grumble: :explode: just slightly frustrated:)

My old scale said I was 2 pounds lighter than my new scale. But I like the new digital one, so I am using that. Its not a problem. I agree...just choose a scale and go by that one.0

I would use the scale you have been using and just keep going by that one. I've weighed myself on several different scales and the readings are always different. You'll worry yourself sick if you keep using different scales.0

Hang in there! The fact that you are concerned shows you really want to lose that weight. Best thing to do is watch what you eat and exercise. You will hit a plateau where you will not lose any weight because the weight you did lose is water weight. Once you start burning fat is when you will begin noticing the weight loss.
A previous post suggested use the same scale every time - good suggestion. Also, when you weigh yourself, do it at the same time like when you wake up.
Again, hang in there!!!0
