Just happened to browse through fattofitradio.com and calculated my numbers...Depressing, to say the least......
BMI- 34.7 - Obese
waist/hip ratio - 0.92 High Health Risk
Waist to Height Ratio is 64.7%.-Highly Obese
body fat percentage is 27.5%
Am 172 cms tall and weigh 228 pounds.
While I have already stepped up my exercise regime and started using MFP extensively to track the food I eat, looking for ideas to help me bring down waist and hip measurements?
These numbers are scary!!!

If you keep on track with your diet--eating healthy and smaller portions--the numbers will naturally decrease into the normal range. I looked at your diary, and I would really recommend reducing your carbs and increasing your protein. If you lower your carbs, your body will have to get energy from another source--aka your fat. 40% carbs, 40% protein and 20% fat (180g carbs, 180g protein and 40g fat at 1800 kcal a day) tends to be a really good composition. That should get you to shed fat really quickly without being hungry and put you back into a healthy weight!0

Hi
I was just going through your diary and realised that your carb intake was too high, and some of the data selected by you from the database is not correct. Remember one thing there are hardly any Indian food items without carb content in them. You wanted to know how I lost so much weight--- answer is -- just by cutting carbs. Just try to go on low carb (not more than 30) and high protein diet---- since you are a non vegetarian so i don't think it will be a problem for you. As far as calories are concerned try not to go beyond 1200 for some time initially. Aah yes about the exercise-- now After losing 20 kgs I go for jog otherwise initially i used to play bollywood item numbers and do in place jogging and walking in my home only. I still enjoy that as due to rains it is difficult to go out in the morning. Earlier I used to think that I can never loose weight but now I know that nothing is impossible... it is all about loving yourself--- and we THE indian women are just too sacrificing for our families till the time we suddenly realise What have we done to ourselves!!!!! Friend -- go head on --- continue your journey -- emerge a winner...... whenever you need me -- i will be surely there for you.
Hope you didn't mind my suggestions.0
