    I live in Davis. I'm new to running and will be completing my first 5K soon. Have you competed in a lot of races in the Sacramento area?

    I'm doing the Let's Roc 5K organized by the Ovarian Cancer Education & Research Network, Inc. I chose this one because my cousin has Ovarian cancer and I wanted to do it in honor of her. It's near Shriner's Hospital on Sept 15th.

    I hope to participate in many more 5K's and eventually work my way up to longer races.

    Do you know of a good website that has information on races in the Sac/Davis area? I tried googling it but there didn't seem to be that many good ones I could find.

    Yes, Fleet feet has information on most of the races in the area and also this site has a pretty comprehensive list as well: http://zinsli.com/events/sacevents.asp. I'll probably run that 5k too, sorry to hear about your cousin, that's one of the reasons I love running charity runs... hopefully money raised can find treatment and cures.
