Using The New Rules For Lifting For Women...anyone else?

I started lifting yesterday by the plan outlined in TNRFWFL book. Just curious how many others have used this book for your routine and what type of changes did you see? I'm a runner...but have always done some light weight training using the machines at my gym...so this free weight workout is different. Any tips or things you have learned along the way? If you have pictures of your progress I'd love to see them, too.

Thanks for reading!!

I just started this myself. I have been using it for about a week and a half now. I have not lost any weight, just maintained, but my clothes are already noticeable looser, especially around my waist and tummy. It sounds kind of silly, but I actually "feel' a little stronger already. I lifted up my 3 year old yesterday and noticed that I didn't struggle at all, it was easy.I also drained an iron skillet of grease one handed - something I have NEVER done before. Even my husband was impressed. I have been doing light weight training at least once a week for about 2 years now, but I've seen more results in the last week and a half than I have in the last year. It's kind of scary pushing myself to do the heavier weight stuff, but when I find out i can actually do it - that is beyond satisfying! I am sticking with this for a while. I am also doing a little of the You Are Your Own Gym by Mark Lauren (beginner basic) to use when I travel an don't have access to a gym. My work pays for us to have a gym membership, and I try to get every penny out of mine but when I travel they don't always have gyms or the weight set up I prefer. .
