I'd like just a few more MFP friends..

Because I find the ones I have such an amazing group - always there, giving (and I hope receiving!) advice and support.
I've recently deleted some people who just weren't active - sad to say goodbye but I log in daily, except when I'm on hols or whatever, and I like to see what my MFP friends are doing, swap ideas, and read food diaries.
My background is; mental health professional, period property restorer, small buisness director. Taking time off, currently, following 2 suicides and other bereavements in my family and just a general need to recuperate and find new directions.
However I'm mostly supportive and outgoing towards others, not often a needy person.
I'm aiming to lose about 40lb in total, and I'm over half-way there. I love good food and cooking - my reasons for losing weight are related to my physical health as there is a strong history of colon cancer in my family. I'm 6' tall, and only just into the overweight BMI, but would like to be in the middle of it and rather more toned!
I live with a cat and dog - the latter has a daily walk. I go to my local gym and do sets of weights, which are quite light as I'm not very strong, at least as yet.
I'm single-ish (not looking to date), and have no children.
Don't care where you are from - to keep the balance right some male friends would be lovely. Whether male or female, and whatever age or status; only if you're active on MFP and comment on your friend's status regularly.
I hope all of that's not too off-putting!

I'm looking to lose 40ish lbs as well and I am on here everyday. I love reading the success stories and I feel like I am a pretty positive person. My friends call me "Rainbow Brite" b/c I am encouraging - and love changing my hair color lol. I am married with 1 child and unfortunately all too familiar with family tragedies. We've had a rough 2 - 3 years (basically my 30s sucked) and feel like we are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Feel welcome to add me!:happy:0
