Bad Posture at Work

Hi everybody,

I've started to realize how extremely bad my posture is while I'm sitting in my beige cube for 8 hours/day.

Anyone have any good tips/tricks for improving this? My back feels so much better when I set up straight, and yet I just keep slumping in my awful chair.

Thanks!

Consciously draw your shoulders back, position things if possible that require you to be a bit higher to see.

When driving, angle your rear view mirror up, you'll naturally force yourself to sit straighter.

Also, if you go to the gym, start weight lifting heavy. Compound lifts like dead lifts, squats, bent over rows etc all work to naturally improve posture.

Thanks, Chris. I'm learning more about lifting and strength training and definitely eager to get started. The tips about positioning things higher is great! It's already helping.

its super hard, I know mines horrible too...8 hours a day at a desk sucks... i try to get up and walk around for a bit every hour ...but you arms should be at 90 deg to your keyboard and 90 degrees from your eyes to monitor and your feet should be flat on the floor u
