My goal is 1700 calories, I did cardio in the morning and it added the calories that I burned from cardio. Can anyone explain this to me?

You earned more calories from exercise. You can eat those back if you want. If you choose not to, make sure you're still eating at least 1200 net. Net means your intake minus exercise. If you eat 1700 calories and don't exercise, you have a 1700 net. If you eat 1700 calories and exercise 500 off and don't eat them back, you have a 1200 calorie net. If you eat 1700 calories, exercise 500 off, and eat that 500 back, you still have a 1700 net. MFP does all this for you.0

Thanks! You been very helpful in explaining that. I always believe that too much exercise can at times be counter-productive. Eating those calories back will make sure my body doesn't turn into starvation mode.0
