30 day shred questions

I'm planning on starting Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred soon. I had a few questions for those who have experience with it.
First, Do I need to do it everyday or can I skip weekends, do every other day or something and still get results?
Second, I have heard that some people have done 10 days at each level as recommended, some rotate between the 3 levels for the 30 days, and some advance to the next level as soon as the present level gets "easy." So I want to know what you did and what worked for you.
And finally, I've heard that the cool down portion is not long enough to be beneficial. Did you find that you had to add more stretching to the end of your work out?
Thanks in advance for any info! Looking forward to starting soon!

Add more stretching BEFORE her warm-up/workout. For sure.
I've done it every day straight for 16 days now, ten days of level 1 first, now 6 days of level 2 (doing 7th day tonight). Some people rotate it with other cardio or workouts, take a day off, move up earlier.. It's all about how YOU feel. I stuck with 10 days because I wanted to make sure I could handle it with perfect form.
Scale hasn't moved much (in fact I gained the first five days--probably water weight) but I have lost inches for sure. Definitely am a lot stronger and have more endurance.
Cool down, I usually stretch a little more as well.
And for future reference, it gets better by day 5.0 -
I have a question on this also. Right now i mostly do HIIT on my elliptical for my cardio. Is the 30 Day Shred just cario or is it strength training as well. I wouldn't mind using to it replace the cardio i do on my elliptical but I'm doing The New Rules of Lifting for Women and don't know if I want to add much for resistance right now.0

It's circuit training. Youtube it and skim through the video.

**edit, yes. Cardio & strength.0 -
Stretching before you are warmed up is NOT such a good idea. Stretching cold muscles can lead to injury. The amount of stretching you will need after the workout depends upon the individual. You will get a feel for it - if you need to stretch more.
This is high impact ... if your knees start to bother you ....definitely take breaks from day to day.0 -

Her warm up is awful though and I found myself hurting more when I didn't stretch than when I did.
So then do her warm up, pause the thing and stretch, then continue on.0 -
Thanks guys, I think I'll start on Monday and see how it goes. Are there lower impact modifications on the video?0
