I bought buttermilk for a recipe that didn't turn out well. Any ideas on what to do with the leftovers? I have almost a full container. Thanks!

I had a recipe from a running magazine that added Hot sauce to the buttermilk, then marinate chicken in it. When ready to cook, roll in breadcrumbs and bake. It was soo good. I am going to look for the recipes again, I may make it tomorrow.
FYI - next time, you can always make buttermilk by mixing 1 cup of milk with a tbsp of vinegar.Let sit for 5 minutes.

I have some in the fridge that's gone bad. I make everything homemade so usually that doesn't happen
..but thanks for the reminder! If you have a septic tank, pour it down the drain. It works great and is cheaper than Rid-X.

Try other recipes. Lots of healthy ones. I do whole wheat buttermilk biscuits, pancakes, all kinda things.
    Experiment a bit.

That looks like a good recipe. I'll have to give it a try tonight since I have buttermilk in my fridge too.
