I'm not sure why you're eating under 1000 calories. I've read that 1200 to 1400 is the absolute minimum you should go and if you're exercising, you should probably be eating more.

It all depends. Are you trying to lose weight? Theoretically, to lose 1 pound a week you need to burn 500 calories more a day than you intake. 1 pound is 3500 calories. So, if you eat 1500 calories, to lose 1 pound a week you need to burn at least 2000 per day.

Your daily intake seems pretty good. Once again, it would all depend on your overall goals.

1000 calories if definitely pushing it. Obviously the more drastic the change, the more drastic and immediate the effects. However, the quicker you drop weight the harder it is will be to keep it off long term. I recently read an article about how we regain weight so drastically after losing it. Apparently our bodies go into starvation mode and try to regain what it's lost. So... the longer and more gradual the loss, the longer and easier it will be to keep it off.

3/8ths of a cup of cauliflower for lunch? You're definitely not eating enough. You need to hit your calories.

You really should consider adding more chicken, fish, various veggies, etc. You're definitely not eating enough, and from the looks of it you seem to eat even less when you eat a 'treat' like a doughnut or pizza. Instead of eating less, try to focus more on eating 'smarter' and better types of food. It's fine to treat yourself in moderation. Don't let it make you feel like you've ruined the whole day!

i think your absolutely right...after ive had something sweet i feel content right after but 5 mins later and ill be moderating my whole days worth of eating......

also, im a very fast eater so that may have something to do with how full i feel. with what ive ate today...re check my diary....i felt bloated after dinner. and i feel like its enough for me. i want to eat clean but what does that mean? how can i make my food choices clean?

Yes, amigo, you are not eating enough. I would suggest adding in some things like fruit, some lean protein (tuna, sardines, chicken, lean cuts of beef, etc.), some lean dairy (cheese, greek yogurt, frozen yogurt, etc), nuts, etc. Basically, just more healthy food choices. Here is a good list of things that you might want to include. I try to eat some of these daily.

Have you tried pre-planning your meals/snacks (and sometimes treats)? Put the fork down inbetween bites, drink tons of water before hand/while you're eating. Try to not eat while you're watching tv/doing other mindless activities.

Just planning veggie snacks has really helped me a ton though. I plan to eat dinner (fish/chicken etc plus a veggie or something else), then I work out. Then I eat egg whites with some grape tomatoes. After that, I'll have another snack typically. Today I did tuna with some celery wrapped in lettuce.

It keeps me from grabbing whatever looks delicious in the fridge.. but I'm far from a pro on clean eating so maybe others can help you more there. :P
