Losing weight my main priority even though it shouldnt be0 -
I'm having a hard time enjoying life because I am constantly obsessing about weight loss and eating right and exercising. It's taking over my life. Anyone else ever feel like this?
The trick is just to integrate it. The gym is part of my life 3x a week...just how it is. The feeling of accomplishment I get from it is its own reward, but even if it wasn't, its part of my life. Tracking my intake...while something I had relaxed on (until I gained weight post surgery), is now just a regular thing again. Once I'm where I want to be...I'll relax as I did before. Do I obsess about the numbers? No...but then again, I eat a LOT more than people would think I did for the amount of weight I've lost. If I'm 200-500 over one day, no biggie, because my deficit is setup on a weekly average, not day in and day out. I just slip an extra hundred or two out over the next couple days.
In the end, you'll get out of this 100% what you put into it! If you put stress, and obligation, and frustration, and issues in...well...that's what you'll have returned. If you relax, and just DO it...your body will thank you (remember, stress makes you hold onto weight!) by shedding the weight you want it to.
Hope that helps!0 -

I've felt this before and it turned into a full on eating disorder because i got so imbalanced. If it's really interfering with your life please get some help so you can lead a balanced lifestyle. Diet/exercise is important but there's more to life than that.0

This is strictly something I have noticed and learned
I have learned from personal experience and from watching others over the years, that people who get obsessed with weight-loss endup making alot of bad choices. They'll try drastic measures like eating too little or eating soo "clean" (everything is low-fat, low-card, low-everthing). People who get obsessed with FITNESS on the other hand have made some great changes. They eat properly. They don't cry for hours over eating a piece of chicken at KFC. They workout well. They fuel themselves very well and in the long run have a very healthy outlook towards living.0 -

Sorry but I cannot let anyone think of me that way so....0 -
Yep, I have to measure EVERYTHING I eat and I am always looking at labels for the calories. I walk EVERY day on the trail. 6 years ago I had an ED but gained 50 lbs after I got married 5 years ago when I started eating again and now having trouble reaching 1200 calories lately.0
