Hi everyone!
I workout Tues, Wed, Fri, Sat mornings & Tues and Thurs I do a cardio class at night. I was thinking of going to bootcamp tonight too, is this too much you think? I'm just starting to get back into the swing of things and I don't want to hurt myself! I only have about 15lbs to lose, but have a lot of toning to do.
Thank you

I know people that do two classes nearly every day. I myself only double up on Sundays and sometimes Wednesday. If you're just starting out, give your body the time to recover at first, then push yourself, just make sure your two workouts aren't both strength training since your muscles only develop when they have time to recover.0

I think that as long as you are taking a rest day, and also eating enough (eating at least some of your exercise calories back, if not all) then you are probably fine. I work out for 1.5-2 hrs per day 6X per week, and I seem to be fine, eating back my exercise calories with healthy stuff like protein smoothies, oatmeal, eggs, etc.
However, I think that the best advice is to listen to your body: if you are really sore or tired, take a rest day. Just don't overdo it.0 -
It depends on your current fitness level and your ability to recover sufficiently between workouts. That in turn is partially dependant on you age, sex, nutrition, and sleep. Only you can answer the question for yourself. Try it out and see how you feel.0

I used to do Insanity every morning and soccer /jog every evening. I was able to handle those just fine as long as you have enough rest. But, I had to stop this madness last week because my weight drop way to much and too fast. (5'10 165 lb to 145 lb in 2 months). The problem is all my activities are cardio. I should have listen to all my MFP friends' advises and do some strength training with it (it was not fun). Beginning of this week I temporary substitute Insanity with TapouT XT (less cardio, more strength in my opinion). So far I'm doing fine (just bored as heel). Hopefully, my weight will stabilize and I can rebuild my muscle back.0

i do 30day shred once a day and yesterday i did a dance dvd and i actually felt better than just exercising once.0

I usually do 30DS in the mornings and either walk or do Zumba or something like that in the afternoons. That way I am getting strength training and cardio both in.0

I do it. 2 hours of water polo from 6-8 am, and then 2 more (+ 30 mins jogging/calisthenics) from 7:30-10 pm.
It really depends on your body. Try it and see how you cope.0 -
I am sure you will be ok. Just remember to listen to your body0

That's called Training. It's fine! You think Michael Phelps only swims an hour once a day? Lance Armstrong ride for an hour once a day? Do any of the athletes going to London train once a day? NOPE. They train for several hours a day, with breaks in between.
Listen to your body. If you're really sore, don't push it. But you can always get more cardio in IMHO.0 -
Currently I'm doing insanity then go for an hour long walk afterwards. However, I'm switching that up and will now be doing Insanity and Brazil Butt lift at the same time. I was also thinking of putting some weights in there as well...just gotta figure out the schedule ;0)0
