My legs, well they feel like lead while I'm doing my c25k. I'm about to start week 7, and though I'm running way more than I ever thought I'd be able to do, I'm slowing down a bunch. Is there ever a point where my legs won't feel so heavy? I'm thinking once the weight really starts coming off it will happen. Please tell me I'm not alone in this beginning running endeavor.

Keep in mind that there are a lot of factors that impact how your body feels while you are running. It could be weather, nutrition, terrain, time of the month, etc.

Just keep at it...it'll get better and your legs won't always feel heavy..albeit, sometimes they will still. heavy can mean lactic acid and that isn't always a bad thing

i always like to be straight up honest with people when they start running - it sucks at first - you have to get to a certain compentcy before it is 'fun'

Try to hang in there, we all went through it. I did find that once I was able to run about 30 minutes without stopping things became much easier and I could increase my times much quicker.

Oh man the terrain...in my neighborhood there are slight inclines. Who knew how hard those would be to run as a new runner. It's all mental when I'm tackling those parts of my run.

Thanks for this. I'm just at running 20 minutes without stopping with my c25k training. I'm almost there!

Are you eating enough? Getting proper nutrition (carbs + proteins are important). Getting enough sleep? Those were always big factors for me.

If you reach a week during your C25K plan that you really struggle with, I think it might be a good idea to just repeat that week. Every once in a while, we will have a "bad" run for whatever reason. But if it's a few runs in a row, it might mean you should slow down a bit.

I'm eating very well, getting a bunch of protein in and carbs in. I watch this closely. And I have repeated week 4. That was a big hurdle to get over.
