For those interested, I used my Polar FT7 today. My concern was the calorie readout from the machines and from MFP weren't correct. This little device uses ALL your info (height, weight, age) , as well as a HRM. Here are the results: I lifted for 33 minutes. MFP says that I should burn 124 calories. HRM showed I actually burned 179. I walked on the treadmill for 21 minutes. The treadmill, although it read my correct heart rate, said I should only have burned 85 calories. MFP said 52. Another neat feature of this thing was that I set it so it calculates my "fat burning zone" vs. my "fitness improvement" zone. you can lock into either, and it will tell you whether you exceed or fall under the zones with your heart rate. Pretty neat little device. I got it on Amazon, that's where I found it the cheapest with shipping. I also ordered the ladies one. I'm petite, and have to wear it on the tightest it will go, but there's room for expansion.

I usually do the elliptical. I'm going to test out the read on that next. MFP gives me a wayyyy higher readout than the machine does. I'll see what this device does.
