Hi
How many calories do you think i should put for an hour of this? I went to a class for the first time in months and forgot how much i enjoyed it!

Hi there,
Use the search function and search “Body Pump”. There seems to be a lot of discussion about this. I log it as “strength training” and this may be providing me with an underestimate of calorie burn. When I take body pump I usually take a cardio class too, so I am not counting on it for significant calorie burn.

I have done the body pump at my local Y twice in the past month. They say the standard is 560 calories but I am certain that would flucuate given numerous variables. For the record, that is a tough workout.0

I love that class! My HRM says around 500, but it depends on how much you weigh and how much you put into it! I would guesstimate low if you don't know!0

My HRM used to say between 300 - 350.0
