Okay so i have a college football player son (age 20) who came home for the summer with a suggestion from his coach to gain 20 pounds. He was at 190 in MAy, was suppose to get to 210. Well he got a summer job pouring cement and instead of gaining LOST 20 pounds. We need to get him back up as close to 200 as possible by aug 8th. He does lift weights rather reguarally 3-4 times a week and drinks protein shakes. Any other suggestions?
I wish i could give him the 40 pounds i want to lose!

By the way it is NOT the son in the pic. My college son is 5'10".0

Have him fill his diet with healthy foods that are high calorie. Full fat milk, yogurt, cheese, etc. Peanut butters, nuts, olive oils and such. He can easily get in extra calories (and protein) by adding protein shakes as well which can pack a high amount of calories without him feeling totally stuffed!
There are so many things he can do to suppliment his normal diet and not feel like he's eating a ton while eating enough to gain the weight he needs.0
