What are the best way to tone legs and arms? I have flabby arms and want some tone, and I have chubby knees and need to see some muscle? What could I do everyday?

For legs, do squats and lunges (forward, reverse and side).

For arms, do bicep curls, hammer curls, tricep extensions, tricep kickbacks, dips and push-ups.

Hold progressively heavier dumbbells while doing all of them.

    1. Get your diet in-order. If this isn't right then any muscle you build will be protected by existing fat.
    2. Strength training is needed, checkout some of the better current books like Starting Strength.
    3. Some cardio is very helpful

^ This, lifting progressively heavier weights, along with a diet that has you in a caloric deficit, and time

    Burpees, push ups and squats.

Running on an incline or running some hills will help to chubby knee situation, but I wouldn't advise running everyday in the beginning.

Running and squats helped my legs immensely. I have chubby knees too. They probably won't go away completely because I've always had them, but at least they aren't as husky as they used to be.

Thanks for the tips. I have about 20 - 30 more pounds to lose before I would consider myself "thin" I see thinner legs and arms but I can't stand to see chub and the loose skin. I want to tone before I wear more revealing clothes.
  • I have been getting some great results with yoga. I started yoga to work on my flexibility, but I have been noticing that my upper arms and thighs seem to be toning up as well. Great for sore muscles do to workouts as well.
