    I mainly hear this from people who live in my hometown of Nashville, TN... they don't seem to remember that I lived there too for about almost 30 years and then in Houston which is hotter and more humid and definitely FEELS hotter in Phoenix, AZ than anyplace that I have ever lived and not because I have forgotten what it is like lol.

    Another thing my stupid "late" M-I-L said (she's from New England and never traveled much) "do you guys have paved roads and highways and buildings in Phoenix"??? What a dip ****!

    Now I live in Portland, Oregon. It's "Or-ah-GIN", like "Begin". And as for our river, it's Will-AM-ette, dammit, not Will-OM-ette, dommit.

    You've got the Willamette correct, but not the Oregon. It's pronounced as if it's spelled Orygun.

    The rain (or at least the rivers and the green scenery) is one of the main reasons we moved to Oregon! :smile:
