I co-worker is selling a Pro-form crosswalk 400e and I'm thinking about buying it. Does anyone on here have one and are they any good? I really want to get into a good running regime and don't want to spend money on a treadmill that won't hold up.

I don't own one but I've been doing a lot of research trying to buy a treadmill and the Pro-form treadmills seem to break a lot of be kind of unreliable.
So far Nordic Track has been looking the best, but again, I have no idea other than reading other people's opinions. :P

Make sure to ask how many miles are on it! A lot of people seem to buy the pro-form treadmills, dislike them, and then sell them shortly after to get something better so many of them have had a pretty large number of owners.

That's what I have been seeing! Craig's list is loaded with proform treadmills! I'd rather spend alittle extra and have the thing last.

I own a ProForm 390E elliptical. I wanted it and asked my husband to get it for my birthday last year. I did a little research on the model prior to choosing it and found both positive and negative, but for me price outweighed everything else. Getting a Nordic Track would have been okay, but if I can get the results from a less expensive model, why spend the money on it?

When we first got it, there was a small piece missing, but it didn't prevent us from putting it together and using it. the missing piece was a small part, but we contacted the manufacture and the part was sent to us immediately. The two issues I did have with the machine in the beginning was the found squeak that it made while using it, but after putting it to use, the squeak went away, and secondly, was the fact that the ac power adapter wasn't included with the machine. I had to pay an additional $20 for it.
