When is your Spring Break?

I'm starting to think spring break vacation and my dh wants to take the family to Disney for this first time! (my girls will be 9 and 6!) I'm wondering when the rest of the country has spring break because I don't want to go then if it is the crazy time...

The schools here, in Connecticut, are closed April 19-23.

Not all schools in Connecticut! We live in the eastern part of the state and our holiday is April 12-16. I know many other districts in the country tend to have the week off right after Easter (April 4). I would probably avoid Disney in April as a whole though. We were just there in August, which in the past has been the slow season (fewer Americans/more foreigners), but this year it was crazy busy. Apparently the *best* time to go is in September once all the kids have gone back to school (although this means pulling your kids out of school)...

I am a flight attendant and was based in Orlando for a year and a half. If you plan on taking the girls to Disney World.. (awesome choice if you go there.. been there a few times.. it's awesome!!) But.. here's the bad news.. The only "down" months are Jan-Feb and Sept-Oct... And that's it.. The rest of the time the planes are full of kids all decked out in Disney gear!! So, the parks then will be super crowded..
