Bruising?

I just started really working out last week.
I've been doing cardio and small weights right now because I have really, really weak arms and I eventually plan on going up to heavy stuff.
But today I realized I had some bruising around my arms (biceps area) ...
Is this normal for people who never really worked out with weights before, or really ever used their arms?
My arms don't really hurt or anything... Just the slight bruising seems weird.
