Hey everyone. Iv done a lot of stupid things in the past (long time ago) so my perception of what I need to lose effectively is a little off. Im aiming for 1200 a day to lose 30 pounds...is this about right?

I'm sure everyone will tell you to calculate your BMR and TDEE and go from there. It also depends on your height/weight/activity level. I'm trying to net 1200 as well but I find it extremely difficult to eat that much in one day, especially when I burn a lot through exercise. I'm curious to see what everyone else says.
Good luck to you!0 -
If you only need to lose 30lbs, you should set MFP to lose .5-1lb a week. If you start at 1lb, move it to .5 when you have about 15-20 to go. Eat however many calories MFP tells you to, along with any exercise calories you earn. The weight will come off slowly, but you will feel great and it should stay off!0
