Jeans never fit properly

If I buy size 13/14 jeans the waist is incredibly loose while the hips/calves area are always way too tight. If I buy size 12 jeans the waist seems fitting if I hold it against my body, but if I even attempt to put it on it will NOT get past my hips.

I've had to resort to buying khaki's only :grumble:

Two questions:

1. Does anyone have a soluation to the above problem? Or a store that has a variety of jeans options?
2. Do khaki's stretch when worn? I bought two pairs about a month ago and they're much looser than they were. I'm not sure if it's because i've lost weight or because they're just a bit worn-out, haha.

Buy them to fit your legs and take them to a tailor to have the waist taken in. Problem solved.

Also, Levi's 529 jeans are great for smaller waists/larger hips. Look for curvy cut jeans.

    Cotton does stretch when worn.

My best recommendation is to get acquainted with your local tailor. It will make the total cost of buying a pair of pants go up, but the fit will be perfect.

I'll definitely check that store out, thanks.

Gah, that's not worth the hassel considering i'm shedding weight pretty quickly so they won't even fit within a month. I'll just stick with the few I have now & wait until I lose all the weight and see if I still have the same issue.

It only cost me about $10 per pair to have mine taken in. It's not expensive, and it will make you feel a lot better.

Also, look for jeans with a longer zipper. They slide over the hips better. Junior's sizes never fit me in the hips. I always had to buy Misses.

Buy jeans with stretch in them (White House Black Market has wonderful jeans with stretch in them) OR

Buy the bigger size and have a tailor take the waist in.

I'm tall and have a small waist but large thighs and the tailor is my best friend. I normally have the waist taken in in my pants and shorts.

Oh, that's all? Hmm, that's not too bad.

Oh, yeah...I stopped wearing Junior sizes in, like, 7th grade? Hahaha.

That sounds good, thank you :)
