Stress Exercise

I hear people talk all the time about stress eating and mentioned it to my trainer friend .
She pointed out we can change our mindset, and become stress exercisers!!
What a cool thought!
Upset with your spouse, take a walk!
Kids talking back, do 10 push ups!
Hate your boss........do squats in the bathroom!!
Seriously, I have tried it and it works. I MUST do 10 push ups before I am allowed to eat that sumpin sumpin I am eyeballing. I have gotten into the habit of hitting the Ellip if working at home, or walking around the bldg if I am in the office when my mind is so clogged with work stress I think I am going to burst.
It works!
Tell me how you use exercise to burn out the stress,

This is actually how I started excercising! When I was going through a very difficult and stressful time my spiritual director told me I needed to excercise. He asked what type of excercise I like to do and I told him that there is not one thing that I enjoy...soooo...he recommended that I join the local YMCA with the kids and hubby and FIND something I like. Well, now there are not enough hours in the day and week for me to do all of the things I enjoy.
After I started excercising I no longer needed to take Zantac everyday and my hair stopped falling out and I sleep better. For the first time this past winter I did NOT suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder.
I cannot even begin to express my gratitude!! And I could never encourage someone enough to excercise too!0 -

Dd that is an awesome testimony!!
I used to lay in bed in the morning wondering if I needed a hand to get up-or if rolling off the side would do for the day. 10 minutes to get out of bed due to aches and pains made much much worse by stress
I now drop and give 'em 10 if someone stresses me at the house. Can be pretty darn funny at times, but my arms are looking good:laugh:0
