Question for the ethnic ladies (or professional stylists)
So I work out between 4-5 times a week and this is really starting to take its toll on my hair. The sweat disrupts the ph balance causing it to dry out, and I've noticed its starting to break off a little. I have chemically relaxed hair so I don't really want to take a flat iron to it everyday, nor do i want to wash it more than twice a week.
What are some methods that you ladies use yourself or would recommend for my hair during or after workouts? I've done everything from wrapping it while working out, to spraying it with leave in conditioner and then wrapping it after a workout (both of these methods told to me by stylists), to trying to wash it every other day as well as moisturize it at night, which is causing it to be weighed down!
I'm at the point of possibly getting sew in extensions (no micros, they make me look way too young) to give my hair a rest for a few months, but any suggestions are great as I pretty much can't think of any other options.
Thanks ladies!
P.S. Please don't' suggest that I go natural. I tried that many years ago and i didn't really care for it too much. :grumble:
