When I overeat close to an event that I want to look better for, I workout to counter it and have a little bit more of a deficit for the following days. No need to not eat tomorrow, just balance that 1k calories in exercise and a few les calories each day... you could really get rid of a lot of it with just exercise.
no guarantees though.... !0 -
Exercise? Life will go on, and you will be fine. If I were in this position, I would just be sure to spend some extra time doing an energetic exercise that I enjoy, in order to have extra calories to eat.0

Log it and move on, that's about it. It happens, don't beat yourself up.0

Calories in and calories out.. hit the gym and burn it off!0

First of all, what's done is done. The most important thing is that you get yourself in gear and don't do it every day. On MFP, we generally deal with calories on a day to day basis, but it's really calories over time that matter the most. So, eat a little less tomorrow. If MFP says you can have 1500 calories a day, eat 1400 for a few days. But, don't sweat it too badly. If you're generally under, one day isn't going to kill you.
I do think you should be careful of time table madness, though. It would be nice to lose some stomach fat in 3 weeks, but everyone's different and you may or may not meet your goal. Think of this as a long term path to be the healthiest you can be. Sticking to the plan is the real success.0 -
I wouldn't trip. A 1000 calories isn't even a pound. It's not even 1/3 a pound. Plus if you ate only a 1000 over what MFP recommends then you should keep in mind that the number that MFP gives you is a deficit number. In all honesty you probably wouldn't notice any gain whatsoever from it, and if you did, it wouldn't be anywhere near a single pound. If you're really that bothered by it though I would suggest you either hit the gym and do some exercise and just eat a little less tomorrow. If you allow minor slip ups like this to bring you down, you're only going to end up stressing yourself and causing undue anxiety/hardship for your body.0

First make sure you really overate by 1000 calories. What I mean by that is don't go by the set calorie goal for the day. For example, I eat 1400 calories. That is my BMR meaning amount of calories I need if I did absolutely nothing. Now just getting up and moving around today put me at a TDEE of about 1700. So if I ate 2400 calories today, I really overate 700 calories.
Now, add some exercise in and minimize those extra calories you ate and you'll be fine0 -
Go see the thread where every other word the guy says is HOORAAAYYY and you'll feel better right away.0

Yep. This. You probably just ate a little over maintenance. Do a little extra exercise and eat a little less over the next couple of days. It will all work out in the end.0 -
Balance is key, don't stress about, workout some, and back to your regular caloric intact tomorrow! Exercise always make you feel better after:) drink lots of water!0

hit the gym, but don't stop eating for several days. You'll slow your metabolism and feel like crap. Drink lots of water; eat lots of fiber; exercise. At least with the water and fiber you'll be able to poop when those calories go on their way!0
