Biggest Loser for tree huggers

Okay, I preface this post by saying I'm not some crazy hippie. But everytime Jillian engages in shameless product placement and suggests people pack their snacks in Ziplock bags, I want to beat her with a Greenpeace protest sign.
Tupperware, Jillian! I think she'd find you can also put 100 calories of your favourite snack in something that won't land in the landfill.
Otherwise our environment will be the "biggest loser".
Too much? perhaps.
Cheesy? yes.
True? yes.

Ah yes but don't you think that Ziplock pays for her to say that on the Biggest Loser show?0

Not only much better for the environment, but very cost effective, too. Even generic zip-top bag usually cost several cents each. I can buy 6 or more reusable containers for 3 dollars. or I can buy a box of 25 Ziploc bags for $3.00. One lasts me years, the other lasts me, what, 2 weeks?0

Of course! But Ziploc could also pay her to endorse their reusable containers. The thing is, if people are reusing those containers, they're not buying as many Ziploc products. And since a box of bags costs about the same as a package of several containers, Ziploc wouldn't make nearly as much money that way.0 -

that is what happens when your boss tells you that this is what is expected of you, you compromise your principles.
Of course she has to pay the rent, too.
I walk out when they advert for all the products. The idea of portioning your food was LOST on the promotion of those stupid bags.
I buy the glad 4 oz and 8 oz screw top containers.0
