I am an emotional eater SO, my husband gave me a challenge. Don't weigh yourself for an entire month(Im the type that weighs everyday. To the point I get upset if no loss ;(. Then chocolate chocolate chocolate). I agreed and asked to hid the scale so I was tempted when he was at work. He did so.

At Bootcamp tonight(I go three times a week with aqua fit 1-2 times) I told my mom and sister about my goal of not weighing for a month. As we ran they said dont do it for the entire summer. Wait until September 1st and do the weigh then. So I agreed again. I guess I will go on how I feel and I hope to have everyone's support.

Thanks ;)

Brooke

Best Idea EVER!!! The scales are the devil and not always the best way to measure success. Good luck :0)

Ohhhh - I too am a daily weigher, but find it motivates me instead of discouraging me.
I did the no-scale thing for a month and ended up losing significantly less than normal. Weird, but that's probably just me ;)
    Good luck in your goal!
I'm sure you can do it if your OH hid them well enough!!

Thank you!! Ohh I'm really rough in myself and then eat like I'm still pregnant when upset. This is a new thing that has come about a year ago so maybe this will help. I will start doing measurements of my body still and do that every two weeks. So I still have an idea!!

This is such a great idea! Keep us posted :) I've grown addicted to my scale as well... for a while I was addicted to the tape measure, but something about stepping on and off the scale and seeing the numbers flash by really quickly just makes it more "exciting"... lol

I will for sure keep you all posted. It's going to be so hard. My husband is so great though so he and the kids will keep me busy. Lol I hope

I may do it with you. The 4 months I didn't have a scale I ended up losing 15 pounds. Now I weigh myself every day I haven't lost a single pound in about a year. Go figure.

If YOU know where it is, how is it hidden? I'd have someone else in the house hide it from me.

My husband hid it. How do I know where it is. I asked him to hid it while I was with the trainer tonight.

You won't find the scale if you don't look...and by looking you, you are wanting to weigh yourself, and wanting to weigh yourself is breaking your challenge.
