How long should the battery last for typically for this HRM. I'm typically going through batteries every few days. I thought it might have to do with the quality of the batteries as they were a cheap generic battery, but then i bought a recognised brand and it still lasted just a few days. I imagine this is not normal. So just checking here to see if any other F4 users have issues with this and how long the battery normally lasts for. Any particular reason why this might be happening?

Thanks for any help.

Edit: It's a problem with the watch battery! The transmitter battery works fine.

Is it for the watch or the transmitter? Either way, mine lasted for about 8 months and only died because I accidentally left the transmitter attached to the strap overnight TWICE.

It's for the watch itself - soz should have specified that. Will edit original.
I think I have left the transmitter attached to strap sometimes though - so maybe this has had an impact but the last time it went in less than 24 hours and the transmitter was definitely not attached to the strap.

My FT7 only lasted 2 week originally...Then couldn`t get the back off....Got a full replacement around 9 weeks ago...Its used everyday and still going strong.

If your watch is eating batteries is it possible its shorting out on something inside?

Very likely something like this I reckon.
