anyone have any good turnip recipes? I recently bought some, and other than roasting with a little bit of oil, I have no other ideas....

    pretty much any way you would eat a potato is how i cook turnip :)

    I imagine you could. :smile: I am sure if you google "turnip recipes" you'll find a bunch of stuff too. I just love turnips though. :wink: Just peel and cut them, boil them until tender and mash them and add what you like I suppose. :tongue:

    I just looked at the cooking light website and found recipes for mashed turnips, turnips gratin and maple sage glazed turnips! I don't know which to try first!

    My mom used to mash up the turnip right in with the mashed potatoes...dang, I miss that.

    You can steam them..the tops and roots!! soooo yummy
