Apparently, I'm most likely from columbia. Interesting.
My one complaint about this app is the lack of consideration of bone structure. I have been to Vietnam, and the people have much small bone structures than, for example, my saxon/viking ancestors. I would have to weight 134 pounds at 5'11 to reach that weight, and according to my doctor and a body fat scan, the lowest weight I could get to (with about 15% body fat) would be about 150.0 -
You're right BMI does have it's limitations. That can be a problem because insurance companies tend to use it to assess a healthy body weight. It does tend work well for the average population and it is supposed to be a reasonable ratio of weight to height (vice versa) when applied to the general population
FYI the Dutch are supposed to be one of the tallest populations in the world and their mean BMI is 24.60 -
