what are some essential medical tests and scans?

my health insurance is expiring soon, so i want to take full advantage and get some test and scans done. what are some scans/test that are vital to have?

    Anything you get done would have to be under the direction of your doctor so unless they tell you that it is necessary to have a bunch of stuff done I'm afraid you're out of luck.

    You could tell your doctor your insurance is running out and maybe get some recommended scans done quickly enough that if anything is wrong, you can get treatment before the insurance is gone.

    I think a lot of it depends on your age as far as "scans". A complete blood profile and lab work as part of a physical is a very good one!

    At 18, there is not a lot they will do. Schedule a physical exam, including PAP, STD screen if you have ever been sexually active and routine bloodwork (CMP, CBC, Lipids).

    It's not usually advisable to pump yourself with radiation unless necessary. So forget scan my dear. Get a nice head to toe physical with blood work and be done with it
