I have a friend who has decided to do a water fast at least one day a week. That is just consuming water for 24 hours, no food. She says she really enjoys it. I was wondering if it is a good idea? I thought there was a 1,200 cal minimum. Can fasting really be good for you?

I've heard it kind of re-boots your system. A lot of people do it for religious reasons. I don't see a reason not to try it. I've been thinking about doing the same.0
