Hi. Welcome to MFP.
Seeing mom getting healthy is a great inspiration for our teen daughters. Since I've joined MFP and started eating right and exercising, my 14 year old has become so much more aware of what she eats, and has actually come to love exercise and being active. Phys. ed, which normally she would have dreaded, has become her favorite class at school. Focusing on health also makes them less likely to get involved in things like smoking, drinking, drugs and other unhealthy lifestyle choices.
Good luck.0 -

thanks all! hard to think of all the food choices that need to be changed(i just officially started all of this today). i love the GOOD stuff anyways, besides seafood, so that won't be tough eating. just quitting the nasty, evil temptations are what is overwhelming, a bit. and then of course, i smoke. after my walk today, i actually felt absolutely fabulous and that i really didn't need that smoke. I CAN'T WAIT TO BE RID OF THOSE NASTY STINKING THINGS!!! LOL . thanks all again...i look forward to my new life!0
