    I think if an avatar doesn't have the following criteria you need to change it.

    1) It should show your face. Can be a body shot but your head should be in there.. Seriosly I don't like looking at people who just show a piece of themselves..

    2) Someone else should take the picture. Sorry but in the age of web cams where you can have a good front on shot there is no reason to be standing wth the phone clearly visable as your in the bathroom or in your car.

    3) It should be within the last 2-3 years. People go through a lot of chages over time. (Especially on sites like MFP!) So keep them updated.. On a side note one of the funniest things I've ever seen was a friend on Facebook changed their profile picture to one of her as a little girl. It was cute but it upset her boyfriend as his profle made it look like he was in a relationship with a child.

    That's it. If your pic doesn't get to those requriemetns then you need to change it up!

    I think you should also add to your list "Pic must contain smug smile and obviously have been taken at a formal occasion... like a wedding" Just a thought ;) not trollin', I swear
