I'm on a extremely tight budget. My household is just myself and my 5 year old son. He's pretty open to most everything I eat (he loves veggies and fruits). My issue is that I get told to look up recipes for healthier foods. Most of them require foods I don't have on hand and I can't go get everything for them. I can get stuff for 1 or 2 recipes but the rest have to be meals around what I have on hand. This is generally not as good as what I want to eat and I get discouraged.
My budget is $40-50 Per Week
~ Side note: My eggs are paid for the year from a farm
~ Side note: My milk is paid monthly from a farm
~ Side note: My burger is paid for (15 - 1lb pkg from farm is in freezer)
~ Side note: I only buy frozen veggies (canned are full of sodium & I never use all of the veggie from the can and that is wasteful where frozen is able to take what I need)
