Macros????

I just saw a post that mentioned "make sure you eat your macros and stay within your calorie limit"...color me stupid but I'm not sure what "macros" means in dietary talk....thanks....chris

    Macronutrients,
    Protien, Carbs, Fat

    Carb/Protein/Fat percentages and/or amounts (grams etc). For instance I aim for 40% carbs, 40%protein, & 20% fats.

    Carbs/Fat/Protein, you can customize them to suite you lifestyle by going to goals > change goals > custom.

    as they said, macros are the parts of food that provide calories (or fuel), I.E. carbs, fat, protein.

    Micro-nutrients on the other hand are vitamins and minerals, I.E. the parts of food that don't provide energy but provide catalysts or bonding agents for your different chemical reactions. both are important for different reasons.

    I have mine set at 30carb/30protein/40fat and it really works for me!
