I'm not sure about for toning - I like to do the Walk Away the Pounds DVD's at home but those are more for weight loss. For toning, I might suggest some of the Jillian Michael's workouts; she has things that target specific areas. Good luck!

Depends on your current fitness level. Do you like to run? If so work toward a 5k. Do you prefer aerobics than try one the millions of videos out there. You can download daily cross fit workouts and do those at home also.

For toning up, you'll want some strength training with the cardio. The 100 push ups website (and their dips, situps and squats programs) is good because you don't need to buy anything and it can be done anywhere. Before, I could barely do one regular push up so I started off with knee push ups. Then, I moved to bench push ups. Now, I'm working on regular push ups. I can't do 100 yet, but I can now do 30 regular pushups which is just huge for me.

Go to collagevideo.com and there's tons of good reviews and previews for every workout video you could imagine. I like Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred b/c it's only 20 mins...but if you're a true beginner, it might be too hard. But definitely try interval training vs all cardio or all strength.

If you are a beginner, Couch to 5K is a good place to start. If it feels too difficult, advance your activity every 2-3 weeks, instead of every week.
