Where do I start?

I'm around 233-235 pounds. My end goal weight is 150. I've started and stopped many times. I hope to actually make healthy lifestyle changes, but there's so much information out there I don't know what's true and where to start.
Do I just count calories? Do I limit fat? Make sure to get in protein? Lots of fiber? Do I do only cardio, only strength training? A combination of both?74I don't want to sabotage myself by trying to do much, but I also don't want to wimp out and do too little.

Start by being diligent about recording everything you eat in your diary. Do both cardio and strength training.0

Exercise
Strength (Resistance training with weights) will result in more muscle which will increase the number of calories you burn in a day overall.
Cardio (Running, biking, etc.) will result in an immediate increase in the daily calories. Heavier people should look at low impact exercises such as swimming and biking.
Diet
Simply reduce the number of calories you eat. The tools on this site seem to be VERY helpful, use them to track EVERYTHING. Track your weight, foods, etc. It WILL help.
I am practicing intermittent fasting its called. Basically, I eat between noon and 8pm. That's it. Between 8pm and noon the next day, I eat absolutely nothing but water. It really does get rid of the guess work.
Overall
Start small. Only pick up ONE of these sort of things before going all hog wild. Find what will keep you on it. Most plans will work surprisingly, but we gotta stick to them! Find a way to make them a part of your life, not just a temporary thing to lose weight.0
