Oats-Banana-Milk Smoothie: Good breakfast?

Hi,
I have always struggled to stomach food in the morning so eating breakfast is a pain.
I do really enjoy smoothies and someone told me to put oats in it and it will make me feel fuller.

Is this a suitable breakfast to eat pretty much every day? Is there anything important lacking?
1/4C Oats
1/2C Milk (reduced 1.5% fat)
1 Banana

(May also add any other fruit I have at the time)

    I think it's pretty good. I used to make this smoothie all the time using half a banana and soy milk instead. It seemed to keep me really full.
    What you may want to add to the smoothie is greek yogurt, cottage cheese (maybe a small amount to keep the taste masked), peanut butter, or a protein powder.

    Yeah will probably add yoghurt sometimes, don't think I will be adding cheese any time soon though.

    Maybe 8grams of protein al up? (the 1/2C milk has 4grams, oats has ~3 and banana about 1)

    Thanks for this - I have been looking for a banana smoothie recipe that incorporates oats but without yogurt. Can you just confirm that the oats are uncooked please?

    @orangesmartie: I don't really know if it is a good recipe in terms of nutrition, but it came to a good amount of smoothie and was easy to measure... I just chuck in raw rolled oats from the pack so yeah uncooked.
    It tastes reasonably good, although one more level of flavour with a second fruit would be good I think.

    thanks, I added it to my recipes and it came out at about 251 cals, 6g protein (using skimmed milk), so i think its a reasonable breakfast. I also normally add a drop of honey or a drop of vanilla extract in my smoothie so I'll see how it goes.

    That's good to heard. I am going to start trying to do the calorie counting thing starting Sunday but not sure if I can keep it going every day. Also gonna try the c25k thing starting Sunday.

    You might find the food logging becomes mighty addictive ;)

    I've downloaded C25K but not had the courage to go out and try it yet. Good luck!
