Boobs, shape, unrealistic?!

Yesterday I accidentally went to work wearing a crop top instead a a bra, I have to say, even though I'm 10 kilos down, and the thinnest I've ever felt, I still have a big stomach and I spent the whole night feeling Very flat chested. Here are some pictures to demonstrate (arguably, not the most flattering top)

Side on in a crop top, Average posture, stomach muscles relaxed.

20120714_051340.jpg?t=1342259290
Here's the same outfit but with a proper bra (not push up, but with that thin layer of foam giving shape) it's a really subtle difference yet it makes All the difference

And the front views

Crop top

Bra

The fact of the matter is the shots with the crop top provide a Much better idea of how my boobs actually are, That's My Real Shape! So why do I feel so flat chested and fat without a bra helping my boobs defy gravity? Why are my boobs obliged to defy gravity, is this the greatest conspiracy amongst women to compel the world to think that we all have perky breasts? (Or perhaps most girls naturally have perky breast? Although I doubt this). Anyway, the whole thing sucks

And, despite spending the whole night feeling flat chested and fat and self conscious, it was a stellar night of work and I got high praise, in short, flat chest and big stomach didn't diminish from my ability to be a good sound tech, so, I just wish I felt more comfortable with the proportions I actually have...*shakes fist at apple shape*

Crop tops flatter very few women. If you're a toned b cup who's never had a weight problem and who's naturally perky you're going to look incredible in a crop top and images of you stretching will make many a fitspo tumblr. If, like most of us, you don't have all those qualities you'll need a good bra in order to keep your breasts looking as fabulous as you feel. You can try weight training and see if over time the skin tightens up, or you can bite the bullet and get a lift/implants/both and accept that you'll be perky and gorgeous but have a bit of scarring.

Also, consider that loose tshirts do women no favours. We end up looking pretty shapeless unless it's a fitted tee.

Hahaha I was going to say something along the same lines except mine are bigger. Honestly I feel right now like my breasts are one of the parts that contribute to making me look heavier! I still have a major stomach I need to get rid of too but my breasts right now are what are stopping me from comfortably fitting into all the regular sized clothes I want to!

Mine used to be a G! And I know what you mean... if it fit up the top, it would be like a tent underneath but it fit properly underneath you wouldn't be ale to get it over your chest!

Is crop top the same as a sports bra? If so, then their purpose is to flatten boobs and keep them from bouncing around.

You look fine. In both pictures.

First off, you do not have a "big" stomach. I have a big stomach and you my dear do not have one. Secondly I would hazard a guess that unless you are sixteen or had surgery 99% of women out of their teens need some lift for the girls. Time and gravity are not friends of the girls. Definitely lifting weights helps to a degree. You are beautiful.

What disappoints me is that since I've lost 16 pounds, my boobs are smaller and it makes my stomach look bigger. I feel more out of proportion now than I did before. How is that fair? I will never be able to wear a crop top, but I want my stomach to shrink along with the ladies. Has anyone had their feet lose weight? I had to get rid of several pairs of shoes that would just fly off when I'm walking. lol

I use to have great boobs before nursing. Now.. I need to get the super padded fake boob bras to even resemble having any at all!

To be honest with you I hated my boobs for a good few years for other reasons (not weight related) but now I love them in actual fact I feel they are my best asset ... its amazing what your brain can do! I wouldn't be so caught up in the mirror you need to think positively and the rest won't matter. P.s ultimo do some great bras that really make you feel sexy so try them :). You don't look like you have far to go at all maybe have some pampering to feel good?? Good luck

Lol I wish I could do the same. I'm a G cup and mine are certainly not perky.

I have Bs and actually mine are very perky, so I can't complain really. I don't even really need to wear a bra, but I think they look better when I do.

I don't mind mine being not so perky. They're a F, so putting them in a crop top or a bra just means they stick out of whatever outfit I have on.
But I'm good with cleavage....just need to get my stomach smaller.

To be honest... about 80% of women are wearing the wrong sized bra. I bet, if you went and were professionally fitted, you would notice a HUGE change in your breasts. The correct bra... not just fitting, but style of bra, can actually make your stomach look smaller.. and you do not have a big stomach, by the way. A correctly fitting bra, can change your posture, how you use your abs, and give you a lot more confidence. Your bra strap across your back should be horizontal... in a line from just under your breasts. If it is going across your shoulder blades it is too high. It should be tight, but you should only be able to fit two fingers between the band and the back. If you lean forward, and can fit more than two fingers in between your sternum and bra band, it is too big around.

When you buy a new bra... try it on with it fastened on the loosest clips.... then, as you wear it, you can tighten as it gets a little baggier.. that way, you get more wear out of it.

A lot of women think, that just because they used to wear a 36B, they are still a 36B, and don't want to find out that they are in fact a 38E.

Why don't I know what a crop top is?

And yes, there's a difference in how you look vs the bra.... but.... really, isn't that why they make different kinds of undergarments- because people are different shapes?

Also.... I pretty much never wear a bra. At all. Before nursing I could get away with a spaghetti-string shelf-bra tank... now... I "get away" with saggy boobs under my t shirt. haha

Really, they're only boobs. They are what? Less than 5% of your body for many people? Meh

This is so true. A good bra fitting can make all the difference. When I went, I was wearing a band size that was 4 inches too big and a cup size that was 2 too small. Bought the new bras and it looked like I lost 10 pounds.

I hear ya! I'm a 34A and always felt that if I were a D cup my stomach would look flat in comparison. :)

I agree on the good fitting bra tho. I have a padded racerback from Victoria's Secret that really works wonders. And since I cut out refined sugar from my diet, my stomach actually went flat - I no longer look 3 months preggo all the time! May be worth a shot.

My boobs have Never been perky. They grew in at 10 years of age and went straight to the ground! I hate wearing a bra so most of my friends know this. Plus one boob is a 1/2 cup size bigger than the other so I have That to deal with. Don't think you're flat chested, just think they only stop growing when they are perfect! lol

You Don't want them too large...I can tell you. When I wear a bra my neck, shoulders, and beak hurt continuously, and I'm in a 42 D/
