    My nan was from there! She came to Australia in WWII when Manchester was being bombed all the time. I love how Manchester people pronounce the G in words like "sinGinG"

    Dubai. Most people haven't heard of it :')

    I've heard of it. friend from high school left his pilot job in the states to fly for a company in Dubai. He loves it there.

    I'm in Virginia, yes we have beaches here and I hate them. They are soo dirty compared to the beaches in FL when we lived in St. Mary, GA right across the border.

    I've heard of Dubai! Amazing architecture and fake islands.

    Is the dress code strict there, like can you go for a run in little shorts and a singlet or do you have to cover up?

    Nah it's not strict at all. I wear whatever I want and nobody cares. It's not like most Middle-Eastern countries.
    It's extremely hot though (50+ degrees in the afternoon) so it's not like you can cover up anyway :laugh:
