Flat Stomach

Hi,

My problem area is my stomach, It carries excess weight and I don't think its ever been flat.

I have around 10.5lb to lose, so not a great deal I don't think?

Can anyone recommend some exercises (or any other tips!) to help with my problem area?

I know I can't spot reduce - but even if its advice for when I hit goal weight what I should be doing.

I do boxing fitness 4 x a week at the moment for an hour each session and that is it at the moment.

  • I was considering kettlebell and a body pump class? I appreciate it won't tone just my stomach but it should make some difference to my problem area whilst improving other areas? Or better off doing an ab-based workout alone...

    I do ab work 4-5 days a week for 18-20 minutes.

    I second the planks

    Also push-ups are great. It targets your core plus other muscles so its a must have in your workout plan

    Thank you Livestar. I use a combination of planks, side planks with weights, weighted crunches, weighted crossover crunches and the reverse bicycle crossovers, after I finish I go through them again 2 more times with no rest in-between. I may add in another exercise every few weeks.

    I like hanging leg raises for lower ab workout. I do six sets of 20 every 3rd day.
