I started this diet a week ago and have lost 5 lbs. I was only supposed to lose a pound a week so I'm sure I'll slow down next week.
I have figured out the key to weigh loss is to scrupulously record everything you eat, honestly. This is a wonderful tool. I eat pretty much the same thing every day for breakfast and lunch so recording food has been easy. I love the fact that I can find my favorite brands.

Great job and welcome to MFP! Regarding your Holiday gain, so much of that is water from sodium and bloating from holiday foods. Drink up some extra water and you know you don't eat that way everyday so that's over and done.
You have a fabulous attitude and you're right, logging, weighing and measuring everything accurately makes a world of difference.
Cheers for finding the best site out there and taking the initiative to make changes!

I've looked at this app before, but this is my first time using MFP. It's easy to navigate and understand. Haven't upgraded yet, still considering. I like that you can scan food instead of typing it in and guessing which one it is. Recording water is a great tool, and being able to sync with Fitbit is wonderful! I wish everyone luck on their journey to health!0
