Cooking at home Vs going out to eat? Are you a picky eater?

I like cooking at home because I know the ingredients I put in my food, and the quality of raw material I use ( I buy mostly organic meats and veggies) to prepare my meals ( I take my lunches to work). Don't misunderstand me, I like restaurants but with being on MFP I became very picky where I want to eat out. I choose not to waste my calories on crappy Applebees or any other fast food joint. Did you become picker with your choices since MFP?

Yep, most definitely. Last time we went to my father-in-law's favorite breakfast spot, I asked for my usual sourdough toast, but hold the "butter flavor" they usually paint it with and bring me a pat of real butter. I think I threw the waitress for a loop. She said, "It will be really hard, it's cold". Perfect! I don't think she gets many requests for that, it's kind of a good ol' boy place, been there for years.

But yeah, that's one thing I struggle with in restaurants, is what they cook the food in and what they put in or on it. If I'm going to eat fats and sugars, i want real butter, or healthier oils, and real sugar or honey, not the junky stuff.

Our budget doesn't allow us to eat out very often, and I suppose from a health standpoint, it's just as well!
